Arianna Camilli

Arianna Camilli is a Franco-Italian actress, director, and occasionally a ventriloquist, who grew up in the rural Jura region. A graduate of the Bachelor’s program in Theater at La Manufacture, she performs notably with Cie AVDQ, as well as with Cie hitzAhitz, and Mathilde Invernon for the creation of Bell End, which premiered at L’Abri and was re-created at the Festival de la Bâtie in September 2024. Her first solo performance, L’Idiote, a tragicomic monologue exploring the impossibility of naming one’s desire when one is raised to be an object of desire rather than a desiring subject, will be played again in October 2024 for the Fête du Théâtre. Through her writing practice, she seeks to explore how our ways of speaking reflect the mental and social structures that inhabit us. She is currently looking to expand her writing practice with computer-assisted music, in order to further fragment narratives and offer hybrid textual and performative objects, inspired by the practices of sampling, moodboarding, and the frenetic rhythms of mass media.
